Helen Irene (Eddleman) Jones had five siblings:
Clarence Noble Eddleman, born 26 January 1909
George Elmer "Bee" Eddleman, born 04 April 1910
Martha Marie (Eddleman) Bultman, born 27 March 1912
Gladys Lorraine "Lodie" (Eddleman) Theriac, born 1923
Robert James Eddleman, born 19 November 1927
Helen married Lawrence Joseph "Joe" Jones in Knox County, Indiana.
Helen and Joe had two sons:
Helen was Roman Catholic. Her faith was important to her and she was
known to quietly do gestures of giving, such as preparing gift sets
of personal items for the nuns in Vincennes.
Helen enjoyed short trips to visit relatives, talking, family stories,
family history, and photographs. Accordingly, Helen is to be thanked
for some of the information and photographs in this family history --
She took care to make sure that relatives received copies of family
records and photographs.
Helen was a woman of intense loyalty. When her brother withdrew from
society for 50 years, living in a single barricaded room in their mother's home,
Helen carefully followed her mother's instructions to not tell anyone
that her brother was there, and that included withholding that information
from her husband and children, but Helen found every means possible of
helping out, such as bringing books from the library for her avid-reader
brother.
Family oriented, Helen lived close to her mother and throughout her
mother's long life, Helen was her mother's means of transportation,
with Helen and Joe often even bringing Helen's elderly
mother on the 2-hour drive
to visit our branch of the family in Monroe County, Indiana.
Helen passed away at the age of 69 on 18 July 1985 at
Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Knox County, Indiana.
Cancer was the cause of her death.
